Development of virtual training course "Basic Pathology" (in cooperation with the MHH)
The course involves a molecular basis for understanding causes, mechanisms and evolution of human diseases. Main processes such as cell injury, inflammation and tissue adaptation, neoplasia, which are fundamental for understanding disease development and progression, will be considered in the General Pathology part. The Systemic Pathology part will cover the morphologic features of disease entities and disease processes of the different organ systems and will explain the etiology, pathogenesis, pathological changes and clinicopathological relationship of common diseases.
The course gives the students basic knowledge of general pathology principles and disease mechanisms as well as description of the pathologic entities associated with each organ system. This course will be included in the curriculum.
