ONU virtual training course “Virology” (in cooperation with the MHH)
The purpose of the course is to work out the methodology of conducting an online lecture and laboratory course "Virology" for undergraduate students in crisis situations.
The course provides students with the structure, chemical composition, and structure of viruses. It will provide information on the organization and functioning of the virus genome, the interaction of the virus with the host cell, the properties of human viruses, animals, plants, bacteria, fungi and the processes they cause in susceptible hosts, develops methods for diagnosing, treating and preventing viral infections. Also students will learn current diagnostic and treatment strategies of viral hepatis.
In the process of learning, students will learn about the variety of viruses. Possibilities of practical value of viruses and their diagnostics will be demonstrated. Students must learn to cultivate viruses on the example of bacterial viruses and immunological and molecular biological methods of their diagnosis. This course will be included in the curriculum.
