Development of LNU virtual lecture course “General Microbiology”
The purpose of the course is to practice the methodology of online lecture and laboratory course "General Microbiology" for students in crisis situations.
The course provides students with the structure, physiological and biochemical properties of microorganisms. Information on the organization of the prokaryotic genome, exchange of genetic information, features of energy and constructive exchange in microorganisms, issues of metabolism regulation will be presented. In the process of learning, students will get acquainted with the diversity of microorganisms and develop skills of safe coexistence with them. Possibilities of practical use of microorganisms in various fields will be demonstrated. During laboratory work, students must learn to prepare nutrient media, sow microorganisms, make smears, microscopy, study the various properties of bacteria.
This course will be included in the curriculum.
